ACTOR, SINGER, DANCER, TEACHING ARTIST

Wassup!

David Holbert was born and raised in the Village of Woodmere, an eastern suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. After high school he enrolled at Baldwin Wallace University in nearby Berea.  His desire was to further develop his vocal, dance, and acting talents in the rigors of the conservatory.

Holbert has performed on Broadway in New York (The Lion King), cast in the national tour of the Tony Award Winning Musical, The Color Purple.  He has worked in several regional theaters, including Karamu House; Great Lakes Theater; the Clinton Area Showboat; and Idaho Shakespeare Fest outdoor amphitheater. Recently David was last seen on the Disney Wish!

When he is not belting out a show tune or catapulting across stage, odds are you’ll find him sharing his skills with students eager to hone their own entertainment career. To him, entertaining, inspiring, and teaching others, is second nature and a passion that brings him immense joy.

“The role of the young hunchback, Quasimodo, forced to live isolated in the bell tower of the Notre-Dame Cathedral by his uncle Frollo, the cathedral's archdeacon, is certainly a challenging and meaty one. David Holbert brings him to life splendidly. For all his lonely seclusion, with only stone statues for companionship, Quasimodo has somehow maintained a bright, optimistic spirit that Holbert conveys with heart and energy. He captures the physical challenges of someone disfigured, and when he sings he soars.” - Canton Rep

“David From the Entertainment Staff (Sebastian in The Little Mermaid) is an incredible performer. But an even better person. David Talked my Grandson out of a tantrum and sent him a special note to our stateroom.” - Guest Upon Disney Wish 2023

“David is a force to be reckoned with. He is a Star in every aspect and you always watch when he is there. Off Stage, David is just as captivating. His energy is unmistakable and his kindness is unwavering” - Meena Shayesteh (Disney Wish Stagemanger)
